Namibia Gypsum Industries (Supply & Install Instrumentation / PLC and Scada System)
RPZC 66kV Yard Expansion (Supply & Installation & Earthing, 66kV yard expansion) Dunelec Construction expanded the existing 66kV outdoor substation at Rosh Pinah Zinc. New transformers, control transfomers and centipede cable were installed.
Navachab Mine Project (OPEN CAST PIT LIGHTS) (Supply & Installation Electrical) Navachab PIT operation's production at night was very restricted due to insufficient light in the PIT. We completed a light study together with suppliers and 2 x 1440 Watt floodlights were installed. A lux level of over 10 was obtained over a distance of 1,5 km. The lights were installed on high mast poles. The electrical supply cables were also supplied and installed complete with a transformer.
Navachab Mine Project (PCP-CIP EXPANSION PROJECT) (Supply & Installation MV, LV Installation, Instrumentation Installation and Commissioning) Dunelec completed all LV, MV and instrumentation supply and installations on this project. This project was completed within 8 months from start. All switchgear, MCC Panels, Cables, Cable Racks, Conveyor safety systems, Plant Lights, earthing and instrumentation cables and installation form part of this project. We are proud of this milestone completion as not many companies can add projects this size on their CV’s.
Navachab Mine Project (POWER FACTOR) Dunelec assisted Navachab Gold Mine with power factor correction. Capacitors were added to support the loads/supplies between active and passive supplies.
Navachab Mine Project (COMPRESSOR HOUSE POWER INSTALLATION) Dunelec installed the small power reticulation inside and around the new compressor house. Galvanized conduit was installed to perfection.
Navachab Mine Project (Water Pumps Relocation) 8 x 55kW Water pumps were moved at the DMS tailings dam. New cable racks, MCC cubicles, pumps and cables were installed and supplied.
Navachab Mine Project (GENERATOR MOVE) Dunelec had the task of moving the Navachab Gold Mine main standby generator to a new location on the plant. All cables and cable racks were supplied and installed.
Wakuna Expansion Project (Supply & Install MV, LV & Networks) Urban and Rural services were installed. A Two (2) substations were constructed complete with RMU, Transformers and LV Panels and earthing. 67 Streetlights, 33 Kiosks and many LV/MV cables were erected underground to complete this installation to supply 360 ervens.
Navachab Mine Project (FAILSAFE VALVE CONTROL) 16 x Air failsafe valves were installed below the process water tanks at Navachab Gold Mine. Galvanized airlines were installed and supplied by Dunelec. Cable racks and a new power reticulation were installed. Network cables were installed to the existing PLC.
Navachab Mine Project (OVERHEAD LINE GAME ) (Supply & Installation 11kV Line) A new 11kV powerline was installed between Navachab Gold Mine and the game farm. A transformer was installed to step down from 11kV to 380Vac. The internal LV reticulation of the farm lodge was completed by Dunelec.
Navachab Mine Project (UPGRADE OHL FEED TO PCP-CIP) An existing powerline of 4,9 km was disassembled and a new powerline was constructed to upgrade from 11kV to 33kV. The old existing DMS plant MV supply cable was joined. The 8 switchgear panel was supplies with MV cable and tested. Not ONE fault on our MV termination was recorded.
Navachab Mine Project (BARGE PUMP OHL) A new 11kV powerline(1,6km) was built between the new Slimesdam and the existing Bargepump station. This was completed and the pumpstation was commissioned successfully.
Namibia Airport Company (NAC) (Supply & Install MV Retic & PLC Upgrade)
Matatura Block 18 Expansion (Supply & Install MV, LV & Networks) Urban and Rural services were installed. A Two (2) substations were constructed complete with RMU, Transformers and LV Panels and earthing. 65 Streetlights, 31 Kiosks and many LV/MV cables were erected underground to complete this installation to supply 285 ervens.
Navachab Mine Project (FILTER PLANT) Navachab Gold Mine Filter plant was upgraded by Dunelec. We supplied and installed isolator panels, cable racks, electrical cables, and instrumentation cables. Lighting and earthing were also upgraded.
Navachab Mine Project (FIBRE OPTIC INSTALLATION) Dunelec was requested to install a fibre optic line between HME offices and Gecko. This installation consisted of 4,7 km single mode fibre and several splices domes. This installation was commissioned successfully.
Navachab Mine Project (SLIMES DAM OHL) Dunelec build a new Power Line at the new Navachab Slimes dam. The powerline was build on 11kV standard and the length was 6,8km. The line structure was HLPCD and consisted of drop-out fuse assemblies and a 350kVA mini-sub.
Navachab Mine Project (PROCESS TANKS) Dunelec installed 12 new pneumatic valves at the Process tanks, Navachab. Airlines, cable racks, and Instrumentation Panels were supplied and installed. The complete power reticulation was installed by Dunelec to supply Instrumentation panels and Actuator Isolator Panels.
Navachab Mine Project (PCP Load out Conveyor) (Supply & Installation E, C&I installation) A New Conveyor was erected and Dunelec had the responsibility to supply all material, from Electrical cables, MCC cubicles, Lights, Safety systems to Cable Racks and Earthing. Dunelec installed and Commissioned this plant successfully.
